Four years ago this month, just two months into that first lockdown, I opened Dog Stop. A bit of a childhood dream of opening a pet shop was in my sights.
I quickly realised I had chosen exactly the right time to open the online shop, we couldn't go out, so online shopping was the only way 😊
I gradually expanded the product range, listening closely to all of you, my customers, adding new products regularly so everyone had what they wanted. The Dog Stop Testers (at the time were Whizz, Finn & Tag), we're thrilled! 😁
I stepped into the world of trade stands too (once we were allowed out!), I have just loved meeting customers face to face and helping dogs to choose their own treats.
I have prided myself on meeting customer need, for example a low protein range for dogs with pancreatitis or kidney problems, a mixed box for people new to natural treats and just don't know where to start.
I've even won two awards! They took me by great surprise and it was particularly heart-warming to know my customers had nominated me.
The Dog Stop Testers have changed, it's Tag & Ripple now, and there is a new chocolate bundle on the horizon to join the team.
It's at this point I have big news...
I'm letting Dog Stop go! No, it's not closing, just being handed over to a new small team, ready for new adventures. I'm sure they will update this blog with their own introduction when they 'move in' next month.
Thank you so much for all your support of the last four years, running a small business can be a challenge but I've loved it. I'm sure I'll see some of you around, I'll be following the Facebook page as I hand that over too 😉
